1) Meeting Called to Order by Steve Murphy

3) Minutes of January Meeting approved.                     

4) Reports:                

·        Scoutmaster

·        Secretary

·        Outdoor/activities coordinator

·        Troop campout Jan 13-15 report: Scouts slept in self-made shelters. Temp 36 degrees F, unable to meet red flannel requirements. One injury occurred. Overall it was a good winter camping learning experience.

·        Klondike Derby, Feb 4: Tied for 4th place of 44 teams.

·        Scout Sunday, Feb 5: Impressive event, well-received. Thanks to Jon Beyer.

·        Troop campout Feb 11-12, Camp Ingawanis: Will attempt to meet “Red Flannel” requirements.

·        Summer camp 2006, Camp Phillips, July 2-8, Dana Jenson is coordinator

·        Advancement activities : One Merit Badge, David Breuer, Rifle Shooting

·        Merit Badge University, UNI, Feb 18, update: Make sure pre-work is completed.

·        Sun Rivers Eagle orientation, March 9, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM, Hammond Ave Church of the Brethren, Waterloo. Star and Life Scouts and their parents are encouraged to attend.

·        Chaplain – Jim O’Connor

·        Drew Beyer is Chaplain’s Aide

·        Training coordinator

·        Wood Badge Training Sessions: September 8-10, October 6-8. For further information, contact Al D.

·        Equipment coordinator

·        Storage shed update: Preliminary plans being developed. Issue is on St. Ed Booster Club Agenda of 2-21-06.

·        Pop can collection fundraisers report, Feb 25 (Steve D) (Dragons & Jay Hawks to staff)

·        Wreath sales update (Lisa M) – Awaiting final results

·        Flapjacker pancake breakfast ticket sales, HyVee @ Crossroads, Feb 18: New Scouts will staff  9:00 – 1:00. (Al)

·        Membership coordinator

·        Cub Scout Crossover, Feb 12: 6 Webelos II will cross over: Colin Beyer, Garrett Bunge, Ethan Davis, Tyler Kent, Drew Klein, & Grant Saul. New Parent Orientation to be arranged with Jim O’Connor.

·        District Recognition Award Night, UAW, Sunday, April 9th,

·        Pancake breakfast fundraiser at Knights of Columbus, Sunday, May 21. Funds to be used for Summer Camp expenses.

·        Next parents meeting Monday, March 6, 2006 at The Upper Deck, food available at 6:30, meeting starts at 7:00 PM
