Scoutmaster
·
Scouts were reassigned to patrols in the troop,
mixing the 2nd year and older Scouts. The new Scouts from crossover are assigned to
the Wolverines patrol to help them get established in their first year of
Scouting. Troop elections were held last
month with the Scouts selecting new patrol leaders and assistant senior patrol
leader. Nick Davis will be the new
Senior Patrol leader for the next 6 months.

O’Connor led an orientation session for the parents of the new Scouts.

shed update – Artists renditions were available to view (check out the scanned
image on the web site at http://troop1waterloo.org/1/Misc/shed.jpg). We have approval from the St. Ed’s Buildings
& Grounds Committee, trying to determine if the Booster Club will be
donating funds. Currently getting
building costs from several sources.

Fundraising

Pop can
collection fundraisers report, Feb 25 – 32 large bags, lots of bottles,
expecting about $400 total. Steve D
reported that no phone calls were made yet there was lots of help. Next collection March 25, Ravens &
Wolverines to staff.

Wreath
sales final report - $2700 sales, $770 profit.
70% of profit has been allocated to 21 Scouts that sold wreaths, the
other 30% into the troop general fund.
·
Flapjacker
pancake breakfast ticket sales, HyVee Feb 11 & 18 – 429 total tickets sold
(this includes tickets not sold at HyVee).
Expect profits to be down from past years as pancake mix and syrup was
not donated. Al will be the Flapjacker
chairman next year, and Greg Kent will be the troop rep to the Flapjackers.

breakfast fundraiser at Knights of Columbus, Sunday, May 21 – the date has been
confirmed, and profits will be used to pay travel expenses for the trip to

Troop
charter renewal – to be processed in March/April. 2006/2007 registration is $10 per Scout, $10
per registered adult, and Boy’s Life subscriptions are $12 each.
