·        Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Luke Jenson & Josh Musgrave, March 26 – nice ceremony, well organized, the Scouts looked sharp.

·        Scouting for Needs bag distribution - CANCELED, April 1 – mistake with activity on council calendar as it was only being done by the northern districts.  We will coordinate with Pack 25 next fall.

·        Troop Campout, Spring Camporee, April 28-30 – to be held at Split Rock park near Tripoli.  Like a mini-summer camp, merit badge will be offered along with many activities.

·        Advancement coordinator

·        Advancement activities – no report due to issues with the troop software

·        Personal Fitness Merit Badge offered – Jon Beyer and Jim O’Connor leading this Eagle required merit badge.  Meeting with Scouts and parents held before last troop meeting.  Schedule published on troop website.

·        Chaplain

·        Ad Altare Dei – no update

·        Training coordinator

·        Equipment coordinator

Storage shed update – bids for materials (not including concrete) were received ranging from $5600 to $7600.  Steve will meet with Buildings & Grounds committee and Parish Council to gain their support.  We need someone, preferably with the troop, to act as construction manager or general contractor for the construction.

·        Fundraising coordinator

·        Pop can collection fundraisers report, March 25, Ravens & Wolverines staffed – another excellent collection, expect to receive about $325 total.  Next collection April 22 to be staffed by Dragons and Jay Hawks.  Following collection will be sometime after Memorial Day.

·        Flapjacker pancake breakfast ticket sales profits report - $700 in ticket sales, $1.50 per ticket returned to be split 70/30 between the Scouts and the troop.  Our Scouts did a nice job working at the breakfast.

·        Membership coordinator

5) Old Business

·        Troop charter renewal report – All units (packs, troops, crews) re-register each year in April with the local Council.  This year we “re-chartered” with 33 Scouts and 21 registered adults.  The updated roster is on the website.

·        Pancake breakfast fundraiser at Knights of Columbus, Sunday, May 21, update – Profits will be used by the troop to pay travel expenses (gas for cars, etc.) to travel to Camp Phillips this summer.  Expect to net $400-$500.  Scouts (and adults) will be asked to work during the morning of the breakfast.

6) New Business

·        Borrowing troop equipment – The question was asked if we had a policy addressing requests from individuals or other groups to borrow troop camping gear.  We currently do not have a policy, however a draft will be prepared for the next meeting to be considered for potential inclusion into the troop Parent’s Guide.

·        Arrow of Light paperwork has not been turned in to the Scout office yet.  Someone will check with Pack 25 leaders to determine the status.

7) Announcements

·        Sun Rivers District Recognition Dinner, April 9, UAW Hall, Waterloo – nice low-key (need Scout uniform) to recognize Eagle Scouts and volunteers within the district.  Tickets are $11 at the Scout Office.

·        OA Spring Fellowship, Camp Ingawanis, April 21-23 – opportunity to earn Brotherhood membership for existing OA members while performing service projects during the day.  This is not for newly elected OA candidates to work their Ordeal.

8) Adjournment
