·         Troop campout at Adventureland, Aug 23-24 – currently only have 2 adults to attend, need at least 2 more adults to make this happen.  Other details on the web site.

·         Advancement coordinator

·         Advancement activities – troop records indicate that 4 merit badges and 2 rank advancements were earned.

·         Merit Badge College, Nov 1 – Information is available on the Council web site, Tim Klein will be getting information out to the Scouts.  Early registration is important to get your first choices of merit badges.

·         Chaplain

·         Jim is working with the troop’s Chaplain’s Aid to try out some ceremonies at upcoming campouts.

·         Scouts interested in earning the Catholic Ad Altare Dei or Pope Pius XXII religious awards should contact Steve Murphy, as this is the time of year to set up training for later this year.  Interest in religious awards for other denominations should also contact Steve.

·         Training coordinator – Training for the new youth leaders will be held at the Ingawanis electronics/work weekend campout.

·         Equipment coordinator – Coolers and other equipment are being replaced.  A new propane Coleman stove is needed to replace a non-functioning unit.  Eventually, each patrol will have their own complete patrol box with kitchen equipment.

·         Fundraising coordinator

·         Pop can collection fundraiser - next scheduled for Sep 6.  Scout participation has dropped noticeably, this is a great way to earn money quickly for summer camp and campouts.

·         UNI Dome concessions – groups working concessions last year get first right of refusal on events, we should know sometime in September what dates will be available.

·         Fall popcorn sales update – no update.  However, Al is the district Popcorn Kernel for Jamboree, and all Jamboree sales must go through him.  Craig will check with the council to see if popcorn will be available to sell at the Fall Festival.

·         Wreath sales update – Steve Davis will contact Cedar Valley Catholic Schools to have troop wreath sale information included in each of the church bulletins.

·         Scheduling of fall and spring pancake breakfasts – no report

·         Knights of Columbus softball tournament – no report

·         Membership coordinator – One new Scout joined the troop in the last month.  Pack 25 Webelos II’s will be invited to upcoming campouts to generate and sustain interest in Boy Scouts.

·         Round Table Update – no report

5) Old Business

·         Eagle Claw report – Reportedly a good experience for Collin Beyer and David Breuer.  They will be asked to give a report to the troop at an upcoming meeting.

·         Parent sign-up calendar – Jon will refine the sign-up form and give it a test drive for upcoming activities.

·         Campout planning / permission slips – more discussion, particularly as it would help with better planning for food and equipment needed.  It will be renamed to “Activity Slip”, and Francis will work with SPL Nick Mills to implement.  It is not intended to keep Scouts from attending campouts if they are not completed and returned on time.  The group agreed to try it for September and October, and then determine whether to continue, modify, or drop it.

·         Boundary Waters, summer 2009 – Tentatively planning for the 3rd week of June.  Will try to line up with John Deere shutdown.  Expected costs are $225 and gas.

·         High adventure activities, update on Sea Base 2009 – Next payment is due October 1.  2 to 4 more Scouts and/or adults are needed to round out the crew.  Contact Tim Klein for more information.

·         National Jamboree, July 2010 - no update
