– November minutes approved

Scoutmaster
·
Troop
elections were held at the last meeting, Youth Leader Training is planned for
the first part of January.
·
Secretary – no report
·
Treasurer
·
Troop
financial report - $6742 in the bank account (-$1007 in general fund, $2503 in
Scoutmaster fund, balance in Scout accounts).
The general fund shows payment for new tents and Welch ski trip
deposit. An entry will be made to
transfer the tent expenditure from the Scoutmaster fund to the general fund as
was approved last summer.

Outdoor/activities
coordinator
·
Troop campout, Nov 27-28, canceled due to low
interest.
·
Santa’s workshop setup Dec 12, reset church hall Dec
15. Setup went very smooth, need Scouts
and adults 6:00 PM Wednesday, Dec 15 to reset.
·
Red Flannel campout, Dec 18-19, Camp Ingawanis,
Ranger campsite. The campsite is
accessible, so far 5 Scouts and 2 adults are planning to attend.

Advancement
coordinator
·
Advancement
activities – Since the November parents meeting, 2 Life rank board of reviews
were completed, and 2 merit badges were earned.

Andy
Koch has completed his Eagle Scout rank application and turned it into the
council for processing. Congratulations
Andy!

Merit
Badge University, Feb 19, update: 9
Scouts from Troop 1 have registered, and merit badge books are expected to be
available in the next week or two.

Communication
merit badge: Jim O’Connor has asked that
those boys who need to have him review their Communication merit badge
requirements need to contact him to set up a time to meet.

Chaplain

Training
coordinator
·
All
training needed for the rechartering has been completed.

Equipment
coordinator – no report

Fundraising
coordinator
·
Pop can
collection, report for Dec 4, next scheduled Jan 8. The last can collection was relatively modest,
with 20 bags and a lot of bottles received.

Council
popcorn sales, update. $1300 total sales
among 4 scouts. They will receive the
full 34% profit as approved earlier this fall.
·
Wreath
sales, update – no report
·
UNI
concessions: First semester concessions
are complete. The troop was unable to
secure concessions for the national duals and the Sports show, and did not show
any interest in the other smaller events.
As a result, the troop will not take part in UNI concessions this winter
or spring.

Membership
coordinator
·
Discussion
on Webelos 2’s crossing over from Pack 25 in February, and possibly some from
other nearby packs as well. Some Webelos
2 parents have expressed concerns with the time commitment for Boy Scouting,
and we need to make sure that they have a realistic understanding of what is
involved.

Business
·
Ski
Trip, Jan 28-30, update: planning
continues.
·
Boundary
Waters 2011, update: lots of interest at
a recent troop meeting, planning is underway, expect to need some type of
commitment soon.

Wood
Badge training, June and August 2011, update:
openings are still available.
·
Recharter
update: nearly complete, expect the
total cost to be approximately $1100.
6) New Business
·
Church
hall setup for Christmas mass, and reset:
setup Thursday, Dec 23 at 6:00 PM, reset Sunday Dec 26 at 6:00 PM. This is a quick task if we have a good
turnout of Scouts and adults, and it is very much appreciated by St. Ed’s.
